Tonight is THE night
I have the ring.
I have the proposal sonnet.
I have her mother's blessing.
I have special reservations at the restaurant. Now, I just have to get through my workday, get a quick haircut, and propose. This is either going to be a very fast or very slow day. I am probably not going to get any work done.
Here's the sonnet:
Now I pursue my destined twin,
Vessel cast unto a darkened sea.
Someone in nature so akin,
Pillar's light calls safely down to me.Through hurricane or weeping gale,
I seek the one to call my own.
At journey's end, thus turn the sail
And anchor at the port of home.Count seeking done and voyage made,
With thee is peace of Noah's dove.
I will rest all at willow's shade,
Write food of stout and proper love.First a sonnet for deposing prose
With ring and heart at last I do propose.ashram
