  • DS

    Ouendan

I decided that I really want to get a Nintendo DS.  Here's the games I want:

    Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney

    Trauma Center: Under the Knife

    Elite Beat Agents

    New Super Mario Bros.

    Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan

Since my PSP is ailing, and zero good games are coming out for it, I am looking into the DS.  PSP had a LOT of potential, but it's pretty much sucked.  The games are for the most part boring, and they stopped making UMD movies.

Still haven't really had Christmas yet.  Lindsey gave me some kick ass stuff, but my family is waiting until Friday when my brother flys in from DC.  More on that front later.

  • Halo

More Halo news on the horizon.  The North American Beta opened today.  I will definitely by signing up for that.  Hopefully they will allow a few million people in.  Realistically, not going to happen, but I can hope.

The "1st" Halo 3 trailer aired today on ESPN.  This is the only time it will air.  Otherwise you can download it on markeplace or watch it on YouTube.

Pretty sweet, huh?  This isn't game footage like the previous trailer, but instead is CGI done by a movie studio.

Lindsey and I have had a bad semester.  Well, she's had a crappy semester, and I keep making it worse by picking nasty fights.  Yeah.  I had a nightmare on Sunday that I lost her somehow; I think it came from the fight we had on Thursday.  I was worried about it all weekend.  The worst part is that we ended the summer so close, and now I just feel out of sorts.

I have been running my MUD again.  I got it up and running on Saturday and have been playing on it ever since.  Classic gaming at its finest.  My friend Dan has joined me on there, so that's been fun as well.

I had a 6 year old girl die from accidental strangulation yesterday.  I talked to the mom and brother and tried to assist with CPR, but I felt so helpless.  This happened a few weeks ago as well, only with an older man who had a heart attack.  I just don't feel like I am capable enough and I freeze.  It's really bothering me.  I have started to think about it outside of work, which I don't usually do.  I separate the two as far apart as I can.  I am afraid to answer that 911 and have to do that again.

  • HD TV On Xbox Live Marketplace

You can now rent movies and download tv shows on the Xbox 360's Marketplace.  It costs about the same to rent the same movies at my local Blockbuster.  Right now, they only have a few hundred titles, but are supposed to get more everyday.  This could save Lindsey and I a trip to the movie rental store.  We already order our pizza delivery online through Papa John's.  Talk about never leaving the house.  I can just get the HD content straight to my 360.

First thing I am getting:  the free Family Guy eps, and some classic Star Trek eps.  Just for the heck of it.  I may try renting a movie as well.  I was curious about ATL and a few others.

Booyah.  I've wanted the box set series of these for the longest time.

Find out more about this here:

Between this, the Zune, and the PS3 game exclusives that Microsoft keeps stealing away from Sony, they are pretty much owning.

  • Complete Awesome

So, Gears of War lived up to my expecations extremely well.  I consider it to be the best game currently on the Xbox 360.  The Co-op story mode is incredibly fun and the multiplayer is fast paced, yet calculated and tactical.

There are a few bugs here and there connection-wise, but I am very pleased with the overall experience.  I had Dan and Ryan over for some network gaming and it ruled.  They both loved cutting each other up with the chainsaw guns.  My new favorite is the Torque Bow.  Shooting the exploding arrows into your opponents, then watching their bodies suddenly fly apart in thick chunks of flesh and smoke....well, it's extremely satisfying.

I wish I was home playing right now, but alas, I have to work to pay for all these games I play.  I am running a tournament in this game for my clan on Saturday and the prize is a Gears of War t-shirt.  I am pretty excited.

I was in for a shock when I got to work tonight.  My partner briefed me on the goings on of the day and told me that someone at Sam's Club had gotten pinned by a fork lift.  It was a 23 year old female, and she had to have her foot amputated.  Well, Lindsey works as Sam's Club, is 24 years old, and I hadn't been able to reach her on her cell phone today.  They didn't have a name of the victim, so I was worried as shit until I got ahold of Lindsey and made sure it wasn't her.

And that's about my week.  I haven't really had much else going on.

If I didn't mention it enough times, Gears of War is awesome.

  • Suprise

I was blown away today.  Someone sent me an e-mail asking me about an anime music video I had made a while ago that they had found on Youtube.com.   However, I had never placed one of my videos on YouTube.com.  I was kind of honored to find out someone liked my video enough to post it up there.  Here's a link: http://youtube.com/watch?v=LYCYKZNtiOs

5 star rating and over 2000 views.  wow.

Nothing much on the news front.  Clan's going strong.  Work still sucks.  And I still have a hot girlfriend.

Lindsey and I went to The Grudge 2 last Friday.  The theater experience was terrible.  We had trouble getting into it because all these little Jr High assholes were talking and giggling and going to the bathroom the WHOLE MOVIE!  They had an usher in the aisle the whole movie to help quiet them down.  Didn't work.  I think I prefer the 6 year old kids that were at Texas Chainsaw Massacre the week before.  At least they were comparatively quieter.  I should have demanded my money back or something.  It was a rip off.

I have two entries into the National Crime Information Center to do, and I am putting them off.  A stolen welder and a protection order.  Dull.  I got to bed late and now am exhausted(as usual).  I am ready for the night to end, but it won't slow down.  Too much, too fast.

Lately, I've been taking one or two days off a month as sick time from work just to try to get my hours down, and because I am about to kill someone I hate my job so much.  I need to tell Lindsey about this so she can come over and hang.  I feel too guilty if I go anywhere though.  Last week, I was legitimately sick for two days.  That's 24 hours of owrk time.  Still, I have over 100 hours of sick time built up.

I have been watching more daytime television on my days off.  I usually bounce between soap operas which I know nothing about(but who needs to) until the talk shows come on.  I started watching The Greg Behrendt Show.  It's one of those relationship type shows, but the host is kind of funny.  He almost has a mullet which really annoys me.  Get that guy a hair cut.  Otherwise, I like his show.  As far as those kind of shows go.

Otherwise, I have just been fervently watching gaming news, looking for tidbits on the 360 and waiting for more Sony bashing.  I love PS3 bashing.  Their arrogance has pushed me past the point of forgiveness with that console.

Here's a signature someone in my clan made for me.  I can't wait until this game comes out.

I didn't realize this song was sung by a man.  Weird.  But the song is still badass.  I first heard it on the Phantom Dust Soundtrack.

  • Halo Ownage

Well, because my service provider screwed me oever, my website has been down for almost two months.  Depressing.  I have decided to drop their service and am going with another service.  But it means designing my website from the ground up.  Which sucks ass.  I had this same problem almost a year ago.

Clan is going good.  Lots of projects in the works(which are keeping me from working on my own site :) ).  Just need to do some recruiting and get some members.  I am pretty much doing all the work myself.  Everyone else that's high on the totem pole just suddenly disappeared with work and school.  So, it's in my lap to pull us through the drought and into a flourishing future.  bleh.

I owned everyone in Halo the other day. http://www.bungie.net/Stats/GameStats.aspx?gameID=573094285&player=Mesidin#

I seriously hadn't played in 3-4 months at least.  30 kills, 25 killing spree.  Yeah.  It was fun.

And that's about it.  I haven't really posted because I have been very busy with work and my GF.  Shit's been nuts.  And I've been lazy.

Been roleplaying with Dan and Ryan lately.  Mostly Dungeons & Dragons.  I tried to get some Alernity stuff going, but no luck.  I personally am fed up with D&D for many reasons I won't get into.  We need something new.  I need something new.  New friends I think.  And a change of venue.

I was thinking of applying at Bungie. It's a one in a million shot (they did make Halol 1, 2, and [are making]3), but who knows.  I need a job out west when Lindsey and I move next year, and I need a job that pays decent.

    Well, I am going home.
