    You Are 54% Evil

You are evil, but you haven't yet mastered the dark side.
Fear not though - you are on your way to world domination.

That's a sweet pic.  I like the evil little doll with the glowing eyes.  I got this quiz off of swosei12's xanga.  I like these quiz things.  They distract me from my work, which is good.  In honor of that, here's another one:

Your Job Dissatisfaction Level is 80%

Your job is a total bummer, and probably the worst job you've ever had.
Your co-workers stink. Your boss is a jerk. And your company is probably in trouble.
Think about finding a new job quickly, even if it's just a not-so-great transition job.
You've got to get out of there as quickly as you can!

    Only 80%??!?!?!  Well, maybe...

Time to put on a movie I think.  It's going to be Chronicles of Riddick I think.

I talked to my little brother for the first time in 13 weeks.  He is officially a marine now.  He and my family were taking a tour of the USS Midway, the aircraft carrier, when I was talking to him.  Pretty cool.  I hope they got some pictures.  I am just excited because he will be back in town in about 12 hours!  I don't know if I will be able to go to sleep!

The strange thing is I didn't feel this way when my sister moved.  I think it's because it was so gradual.  First, she just moved a few hours away, so she visited almost every weekend, and then the visits became fewer as she got busier with school.  And now she is way over in Kentucky.  It was much different.

One last quiz.  This one is funny because I answered all the questions normally and got my real age!

    You Are 23 Years Old

Under 12: You are a kid at heart. You still have an optimistic life view - and you look at the world with awe.

13-19: You are a teenager at heart. You question authority and are still trying to find your place in this world.

20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what's to come... love, work, and new experiences.

30-39: You are a thirtysomething at heart. You've had a taste of success and true love, but you want more!

40+: You are a mature adult. You've been through most of the ups and downs of life already. Now you get to sit back and relax.

  • Ramen!

Well, my Wal-mart shopping turned out both good and bad.  I still have 3 bags of spinach leaves for salad(unbeknownst to me we had 1 at home already), some chips & salsa, and one more Nong Shim bowl of noodles.  I however was bawling at work because of the bowl of noodles I ate tonight.  Picante!  They really mean it.  I sneezed and the suction pulled all the spices from my mouth up into my sinuses.  My inner ears were burning.  It was like a cartoon.

While looking for pictures of these noodles(above), I came across this ramen review site:

    http://www26.brinkster.com/dogjuice/ramen/

I kept trying to find a pic of these little weird things that look like flat noodles with a spiral on them that were in the soup.  I had seen these in anime before and always assumed they were noodles, but they are actually: FISH.  Don't know what kind.  Odd, but enjoyable.  I didn't expect the taste.  I hadn't even seen them on the packaging.

It's this odd little curly cue thing.

Still more searching led me to this blog about ramen:

    http://mattfischer.com/ramen/

They have some great looking recipes!

I never thought of looking for ramen info on the Internet.  It just goes to show that I am not using this service to its full potential.  I can't find shit on the Internet and never know what to look for.

Back on track: Wal-mart shopping spree.

    Pro:                                                                     Con:

Lindsey and I finally watched Sin City.  She has owned for like 3-4 months now, ever since the DVD was first released, but she never brought it over to watch.  So, they release the "Recut, Extended, Unrated" version.   I was very excited and picked it up.  It actually has both versions.  Well, because the discs weren't labeled, we ended up watching the regular version anyway....

  • Awake

I slept for about 3 hours this morning.  Suddenly, I jerked awake.  I can't go back to sleep now.  I think I slept too long yesterday.

Right now I am watching Seinfeld Season 5.  I would have to say I think that Seinfeld is the funniest sitcom I have ever seen.  This season has some hillarious episodes, like the pirate shirt and the fake orgasms.

Gaahh! I know I should be sleeping, but I am not tired!  I am suddenly plagued by the question, "Does the comma in the last sentence go before or after the 'but'?"  I think I must be tired.

After I got off work last night I caught my finger in a cart at Wal-mart.  It hurt like hell, but I was in the middle of checkout.  So, I had to hide the pain.  I have a bruise underneath my fingernail.  It's not bad enough that my fingernail will fall off I don't think.  Well, it could, but I hope not.  The nail is just bruised at the tip.  It still hurts.

I'm anxious.  I want to do something.  Maybe go to the mall or something.  I wish Lindsey didn't have class.  I can't believe my work week started so soon.  I only had a day off.

  • Busy Week

Valentines Day was a blast. First we ate quickly at this restaraunt called Sanford's, which makes pretty good burgers.  I get the one with onion rings on it.   I planned this kind of scavenger hunt type of thing for Lindsey.  It was different from normal ones.  Basically, I gave her a clue, then we would drive to the location the clue hinted at.  I would then give her a card with some stuff about why that place was special to me(in relation to us) as well as a simple gift.  Anyway, it went really well, I think.  I had a ton fun, and Lindsey seemed to have fun. However, it started snowing about the time we got together and didn't stop until Thursday afternoon.  So, I was a little nervous about driving in the snow.  But it turned out ok.

I was on the national news.  I wrote an e-mail to The Abram's Report on MSNBC(yes, I know we've had the discussion why CNN is better, but everyone else at work wanted to watch it).  They put part of my e-mail on the air the next night!  Here's the transcript of the show: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/11365801/  Near the very bottom of the page, I am the last e-mail he reads off!  Here's the original story I wrote about: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/11345667/

That's pretty cool, I guess.  So, yeah, that was my week.  How was everyone else's? It seems like I am busy, but I can't figure out why.

Oh, and I just found out that the Prince Caspian movie is confirmed for production.  That is sweet!  It's a sequel to The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, for those who don't know.  This one is supposed to be even bigger budget too.

Sweet!  Olympics time again!  I love the Olympics.  We got to watch the opening ceremonies last night, then the biathalon this morning, and now we are watching figure skating and speed skating.  GO USA!

Well, the tournament was a bust.  The guy who wanted me to play with him(David) had the wrong time and wrong place so we were a hour late.  However, I did get to play against the winning team with a person I met there, and we won.  I also found out that David really sucked, so we would have lost right away.  The 2 vs 2 format is too difficult to win if your partner isn't reliable.  I had fun, though.

I am really ready to sleep.  I may just go home and crash tomorrow.

I found this on Google.  It's Olympic rings made from apparently nerve cells.  It was on some university site.  Kind of cool.

  • "I am a slave, what would you have me do?"

In about 12 hours I will be playing in another Halo 2 tournament.  Out of no where on Friday my brother's ex-girlfriend's brother calls me and asks if I want to play in a tourney.  I of course was asleep, so I just said yes.  I don't know if I would have still said yes if I would have been fully awake.  While I really enjoyed the tournament my brother and I played in, part of it was because I was with my brother.  I hardly know this guy.  I have talked to him maybe three times.  Now I am his partner in a tournament.  As the very shy person that I am, I am a little nervous.  The tournament itself I am relaxed about.  While I want to win, I have no illusions that we will sweep everyone away.  I haven't even played any games with this guy before.

So, I am just going to relax and have some fun playing Halo 2.  The other thing about it, though, is that it's at noon.  So, I am trying to decide if I will sleep for about 4 hours, then go to the tournament, or if I should get some much needed practice before I play?  I haven't played Halo 2 in about a week, plus with the Call of Duty 2 and Ridge Racer seeking my attention, my level of play has dropped.  However, I can say that my skill in general has increased significantly since the previous tournament.  I played some games last week where I held my own against a larger force during some objective based team games.  Even during the all against all I was unusually impressive.  Who knows...  I just know I will be damn tired when I have to go to work tomorrow night.

The movie The Beastmaster is only rated PG.  WTF?  Were the ratings people high when they voted on this movie?  Some of things it has in it: Incest, nude chicks, scantily clad men and women, the sacrifice of small children by fire, the sacrifice of a ferret by fire, men getting mauled by a tiger(a panther per the movie, but it's really a tiger), weird creatures that suck the skin off people and turn them into bones, an entire army burned alive with fire, not to mention all the bad acting and writing.  I was a little suprised.  It wasn't exactly the movie my cousin Josh and I watched on TV as kids.  My mom was a little pissed when Josh recommended it to her for my little 8 yr old cousin, then after he started watching there's all this stuff.  I came to the defense of the movie until I watched it on Thursday.  Oops.  Oh, well, it's still a sweet movie in my book.  I always liked it as a kid because it was fantasy, and the dude can talk to animals.  What kid wouldn't want to talk to animals?  Plus, my mom took it away from him and gave it to me.  So, free movie.  The movie even made the list on http://www.badmovies.org .  They say it's rated R, so maybe the DVD is mislabled.  Can anyone say potential lawsuit?  http://www.badmovies.org/movies/beastmaster/  That site highlights some of the hillarious points of the movies, including the incest.

The Office rocked again with this Valentine's Day themed episode.  I loved the small Conan Obrien kameo and the video Michael Scott makes.  Good stuff.

Well, there's work to be done, so I guess I should enter a warrant or somet shit like that.

  • No Redundancies

There are limits to my comedy. There are things that I'll never laugh at. The handicapped. Because there's nothing funny about them. Or any deformity. It's like when you see someone look at a little handicapped and go "oh, look at him, he's not able-bodied. I am, I'm prejudiced.EYeah, well, at least the little handicapped fella is able-minded. Unless he's not, it's difficult to tell with the wheelchair ones.E

    - The Office, BBC

I watched the BBC's The Office this weekend.  Oh, my gosh.  The American version is very smilar, although I would describe the BBC version as being a lot more raunchy.  Of the two, I think my favorite is still the American version.  Here's why:

    1. There's more of it.  The American series is sitting at around 15+ episodes and county, whereas there are only 12 BBC episodes and the two part special.

    2. They develop the minor characters a lot more in the American world.  It's fun to watch as the cleverly flesh out these characters with little bits.  The BBC version stays a lot more with David and Tim(Michael and Jim, respectively).

    3.  It's what I saw first.  That almost always makes a difference.

Either way, I love 'em both.

Not sure if that embedded video worked, because I don't have Quicktime here at work.  Hopefully it did.

Well, I asked someone I worked with if she could take the beginning of the evening for me on Valentine's Day, and she said yes!  Sweet!  On with my master plan.  I will talk about it here after next Tuesday, but there's a chance Lindsey might read this before then.

I made a Naruto anime music video.  It's not the greatest, and honestly, I am still pursuing the perfect Naruto music video, but you can check it out here:

  • Kick me in the Ass

Well, I fucked up my website and had to re-install everything early Friday morning.  It took me about 3 hours, then I found out I didn't install it how I wanted it, so that took another 2 hours of work.  Now, I have finished the install, but am spending all my time trying to build the little content I did have backup.  That was about 3 weeks of work down the drain.  You would think after getting a degree in Computer Science I would have figured out I need to back stuff up. So, yeah, I learned my lesson, for now at least.

The webcomic is coming along.  I am tearing Mike's work to shreds, just trying to squeeze the best possible adaption of this HP Lovecraft story.  This will be my first true complete comic I have ever created and is sitting at about eleven pages.  I have the basic layouts sketched out.  Now, I just need to draw, ink, and then I will be ready to scan it in.  I will be buying Adobe Photoshop for this express purpose.  I have been gabbing about it for 4 years, and Lindsey for one is tired of it, so I am just going to get the damn thing.  No more 6 yr old version of shitty Paint Shop Pro for me.  I will be rollin' with the big boys.

Still unknown on the Valentine's Day thing.  I am keeping my finger's crossed.  I have worked every single major holiday since and including Halloween: Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Years Eve, New Years Day, and now it's looking like Valentines Day.  WTF is a holiday I am wondering....

  • Creature of the Night

Well, it's back to night shift for me.  At least for the next 6 weeks.  My schedule really conflicts with Lindsey's.  Honestly, Tuesdays are the only days we can hang out, maybe a little on Sunday or Wednesday depending on homework and my shifting work schedule.  Grrr...

I am just finding out today that some jackass fucker opened up 12 hours of overtime on February 14.  I think there was some from 1am-7am, but now it's a full shift.  Oh, and guess who's on call?  Yeah, it's me.  Those sons of bitches.  So, unless someone else takes it, I will be spending Valentines Day at fucking work.  It actually worked out on a Tuesday, so Lindsey and I had plans.  I have a freakin sweet idea for the occasion.  I hope things work out.   Grrr....again.

The good news about nights: less stressful for me, lots more time to surf the net, read, goof off, and I am less bored at work.  Plus, I am getting sleep again.

Corpse Bride came out on DVD this week, and Lindsey picked it up.  Next Tuesday is the Doom DVD release, I think, which I wanted to see.

  • Should Have Brought A Movie

Yes!  It's almost the weekend!  Only a few more hours and I am free!  I fixed our DVD player at work, but unfortunately I neglected to bring any DVDs.  So, we are stuck watching cable.  Meh.  I have been watching cheesy horror flicks on Sci-Fi for most of the morning.  Whoever thought it would be a good idea to make a horror film surrounded on the premise of mosquitos who fed on the blood of aliens then mutated to 3 foot size because of the blood.....well, someone tell that person it wasn't that good of an idea.

I don't really have plans for this weekend.  Lindsey is in Nebraska over the weekend making some quick cash working for her sister.  She won't be back until Monday.  I think she has night class on Monday, though, so I probably won't see her until Tuesday, maybe.  If she doesn't have to work Monday morning maybe we can have lunch.  So, anyway, I am going to work on my website, draw some comics, and play some video games. I'll have to stay away from Final Fantasy XI; I don't think I want another week of all night marathons playing that game.  I just don't get anything important done!

I love how car companies are always talking about their "bold, new designs" in their commercials.  If you take all the cars and trucks made in the last 10 years, they generally all look the same.  Vary rarely do you see much innovation, except for in the concept cars.  I see concept cars all the time that rock.  They have such a unique and futuristic look.  Where are they, though?  Everyone makes really cool concept cars, but never brings them into production.  You know, I've seen Back to the Future II.  I am supposed to have freakin' flying cars and hover boards and shit.  I am supposed to have a hydrogen car.  I know those fuckers at the big oil companies are paying off car companies to keep alternate fuel cars out of mass production.

The first and only feasible, personally affordable, personal vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) vehicle the world has ever seen. http://www.moller.com/skycar/ FAA Certification by 2008.

That's what I would spend my money on if I had a couple million.  I could pre-order one.  It's only around $500,000.  Pretty decent for a flying car that gets 20MPG, runs on ethanol, and cruises at 275MPH at 36000 ft for 750 miles.  Top that Ford or GM!
